James B. Knight is a comedian, writer, and improviser based in Philadelphia. He has studied sketch and improv at Philly Improv Theater (PHIT Comedy) & the Upright Citizens Brigade and has had the pleasure of learning from many wonderful teachers along the way.

James has performed to a few sold out crowds, most notably two nights at Good Good Comedy Theater.

He has been part of Cinder Block Comedy Festival, We The People Festival, Black Friday Comedy Marathon, and many years of the Del Close Marathon just to name a few.

James is currently a head writer/head video producer with Phialdelphia’s premier all POC sketch group, Nyte Shift Comedy. He can also be found regularly performing with Philadelphia’s longest running, award winning short form improv group, The N Crowd.

James cohosts a podcast and mostly live show at Good Good Comedy, Black People Don’t Do That, with fellow comedian Marcely Jean-Pierre (available for streaming on Apple Podcasts).

None of this matters unless he can afford sneakers and tickets to pro wrestling shows.
