James B. Knight is a Philadelphia-based stand-up comic and writer.

He has studied and taught sketch and improv at Philly Improv Theater (PHIT Comedy) as well as studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade. James appeared on “Xavier’s Arcade” on Peacock and in the series “Check, Please! Philly” on WHYY. James B Knight is also a regular contributor to the satire website Flexx Magazine. Currently, he is the host of the Critical James Theory Podcast and co-host of Lockin’ Up’: A Black Pro-Wrestling Podcast.

James is the head video producer & writer with Philadelphia’s premier all-POC sketch group, NYTE Shift Comedy, and was a cast member with Philadelphia’s longest-running, award-winning short-form improv group, The N Crowd. James has also performed at & has had his sketches at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (Canada), Black and Funny Festival (MN), Philadelphia Fringe Festival (PA), Cinder Block Comedy Festival (NY), We The People Festival (PA), Black Friday Comedy Marathon (PA), Good Good Comedy (two sold-out nights), Philadelphia Public Access TV station PhillyCam and many years of the Del Close Marathon (NY).

None of this shit matters unless he can afford sneakers and tickets to pro wrestling shows.
